Keith & Karen Neuendorf

Keith and Karen Neuendorf are well-known in the business community - Keith as the Managing Director of the Neuendorf Group and Karen, a well-respected Interior Designer, sought-after advisor in her field, and President of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network.

Keith Neuendorf, Managing Director:

In 2006, Keith Neuendorf was named Outstanding Business Person of the Year at the Sunshine Coast Business Excellence and Export Awards. In 2007 he was named AIM Regional Owner/Manager of the Year.

For the past ten years, he has quietly, but very determinedly grown the family business which was established by his parents, Anna and Trevor Neuendorf in 1959, into the Neuendorf Group - a successful multi-divisionalised company.

In fact, Keith has led the Neuendorf Group, which incorporates their flagship company, Neuendorf Interiors, into a position of strength that includes being, if not the largest, certainly one of the most successful, independently owned flooring and decorating businesses in Queensland.

Neuendorf’s customer-base is extensive, ranging from DIY customers and home decorators to leading commercial development companies including Reed Projects and Developments, Forester Kurtz Properties, Lend Lease, Evans Harch, Living Choice and Grandview Homes among others.

Add to this the rapidly growing Trade side of the business, which Keith officially launched as the Neuendorf Trade Centre & Warehouse Outlet in June 2005, and Neuendorf’s is the largest independent supplier of glue, grout and equipment for the tiling industry on the Sunshine Coast, and is among the largest in Queensland.

The Neuendorf Group today comprises two locations incorporating 10 divisions:

Under Keith’s leadership, Neuendorf’s has developed an intense business focus and strong commitment to customer service. As a result, he accepted Business Excellence Awards for the company in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

In 2007 Neuendorf Interiors was inducted into the Sunshine Coast Business Hall of Fame.

Karen Neuendorf, Interior Designer N.Y.S.I.D. (USA):

Karen Neuendorf is a driving force in the business community.

Most know her as a professional interior designer, with a passion for design and who is responsible for many stunning residential and commercial interiors, (and frequently exteriors too).

Karen works mainly with commercial clients on a wide spectrum of projects including significant developments. She provides invaluable guidance and advice to industry peers, advising and forecasting trends across various products categories, particularly in relation to colour and textiles.

A regular newspaper columnist, Karen comments on changing interior fashion trends.

A formally trained Interior Designer, Karen graduated from the New York School of Interior Design. She is sought-after for her considerable ‘global’ design knowledge and creativity, which is balanced beautifully with her practical approach to function and live-ability.

Karen also wears a number of other hats, including that of President of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network.

Now in her fifth term as President, she has championed many quality programs for self-employed and career women.

Her achievements are many and include being named Sunshine Coast Small Businesswoman of the Year 2000.

She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a Foundation Member of the University of the Sunshine Coast; a Member of the Sunshine Coast Business Council; a Board Member of the Sunshine Coast Area Consultative Committee (a Federal Government regional development initiative); and Vice-Patron for Sunshine Coast Children's Therapy Centre.
